Welcome to this month’s News and Prayer Updates email. We’re so grateful for your partnership in all God is doing at Sannox Christian Centre, and we hope you’ll find these updates useful for your prayers and your own walk with the Lord.
PRAYER REQUESTS
Give thanks for:
– A great Freehand Celtic Knotwork Creative Day Retreat in February.
– The staff, volunteers and local people who invest so much time, prayer and presence at Sannox through the year.
– Our financial supporters, who make our work possible.
– The successful granting of the Stage 1 warrant for the foundation design of the Beehive Chapel, Cave and new drainage for the whole site, and for the opportunities to move to the next part of the process!
– The possibility of a volunteer willing to take over responsibility for all bookings and the willingness of Heidi to continue to look after our book-keeping until someone else comes forward.
– For George Hazel as he takes on the role of managing all new build, initially the Beehive Chapel and Manse, with Jim and Stuart.
Please pray for:
– The Refugio Retreat in early March. We are also due to welcome another crew of knitters for the 6th Sannox Stitches in March.
– The development of a ‘House Team’ to take the work of the Centre forward and those who are responding.
– The development of the staff team at Sannox. If the new arrangement mentioned above comes to fruition, this will release resources to consider adding someone on a part-time basis to support the existing team.
– An individual who could be on the Sannox Board as a Trustee and Treasurer.
– The release of the Sannox Daily Prayer booklets in early March, that they may be a blessing to those participating in the Sannox prayer rhythm.
March Prayer Gathering
Our next Friends of Sannox prayer gathering will be at 8.00 pm on Monday, 2nd March. Prayer underpins all that we seek to do, so we hope you can join us then.
Growing Together in Prayer — A Newly Available Daily Prayer Office at Sannox Christian Centre
At Sannox Christian Centre, we long to be a community rooted deeply in God’s presence — not just during retreats and gatherings, but in the everyday moments of life. That’s why we’re excited to introduce a simple, beautiful Sannox Daily Prayer Office to support and strengthen your devotional rhythm. These resources are tried, tested and well-prayed at SCC.
This prayer office offers four gentle touchpoints with God each day:
• Morning Prayer – to begin the day grounded in Scripture and hope
• Midday Prayer – to pause, refocus, and invite God into the busy hours
• Evening Prayer – to reflect, give thanks, and release the day to God
• Celtic Prayers Before Bed – to rest in peace and God’s loving care
Why a Daily Prayer Office?
• Builds consistency – Regular prayer rhythms help faith become a natural part of daily life.
• Deepens your walk with God – Scripture, reflection, and prayer shape the heart over time.
• Connects our community– knowing others in the SCC community are praying with you each day creates a shared spiritual heartbeat.
• Brings peace and perspective – short moments with God can transform even the busiest days.
Whether you’re new to structured prayer or longing for fresh devotion, these rhythms are designed to be accessible, warm, and life-giving.
Prayer Packs Available in our Web Shop (£6 for the three booklets + p&p)
at www.sannox.org from Monday 1st March 2026
These beautifully prepared Daily Prayer Office packs are now available — making it easy to join in and carry these rhythms into your everyday routine.
• Simple
• Scripture-centred
• Community-focused
You are warmly invited to journey with us, pause with us, and pray with us.
Come and Visit Us
Bookings at SCC are always open! Come aside and enjoy rest and restoration, with some time away from it all. Or, you might need to just have some time to seek God in this season and explore what he is saying to you just now. You can join in with daily morning worship and prayer, explore the island, take light or challenging walks, see the wildlife and seek after God in this beautiful island. The team look forward to welcoming you!
Upcoming Events and Retreats
Refugio Retreat: 6th and 7th March
Join us in seeking God through contemplative stillness and reflection – enter a little refuge on life’s pilgrimage. The evening and morning session will focus on stillness, silence and contemplative prayer. It will close with a simple sharing in communion on Saturday before lunch. Go deeper with us. (7pm – 9pm on Friday 6th March, 9.30am – 12.30pm on Saturday 7th March).
There is an opportunity to stay on after the retreat to join us for our Sannox Saturday, spend Saturday night at the Centre and join with the local churches on Sunday morning.
Suggested donation for the event: £30. Drinks/refreshments and resources provided.
Bring your lunch on Saturday 7th and stay on for Sannox Saturday!
Sannox Saturday
Our next Sannox Saturday takes place on Saturday 7th March. As usual, we will start at 2pm with coffee, then a time of worship, prayer and a message following. We look forward to seeing all who are able to gather with us! Andrew Clark will be speaking this month.
Sannox Stitches – 10th – 12th March 2026
Join us for a relaxing few days of knitting, conversation and personal refreshment at our 6th Sannox Stitches retreat! Open to all knitters, crocheters, spinners…in fact, whatever fibre craft you do! We include space to walk, visit the local craft shop, and encourage you to see a little of the island whilst you’re with us. Our retreat is built around a gentle rhythm of morning, midday and evening prayer which is optional to attend – all are warmly welcome.
Accommodation: We have 9 beds in 4 rooms at Sannox. To maximise attendance possibilities, we encourage you to be willing to share where possible. There are local Airbnb and the Corrie Hotel nearby, which has just been fully renovated.
Food: We are mainly self-catered, but we will include an evening meal together on the central evening. We will also provide bread, cereal and spreads for breakfast.
Suggested Donation: We suggest a donation of £150 for the whole (2 night) event to cover operational cost, food and the retreat programme (£100 if staying off-site). We don’t want finance to be a barrier – give what you can.

The Sannox Prayer
“Today I choose to stand in this place you have called me to,
And I declare that You are a Mighty God, the Creator of Heaven and Earth.
Your Kingdom shall endure and will never be shaken.
Open the windows of Heaven and pour out Your promised blessings in this generation.
Revive us, restore us and heal our land.
Thank you for going before us to open the way and remove all obstacles.
Increase our Faith, stir up Hope and keep us grounded and walking in Love.
Thank you that You are creating a dwelling place for God and man here – in Sannox,
on Arran, for the nations.
Amen”
We bless you in the name of Jesus, to receive all that the Father has for you, and we thank you for your continuing support of His work at SCC.
