Thank you for joining with us in prayer for the Sannox Christian Centre (SCC) and all that God wants to do in this “thin place’, this historic well of revival, that He is calling back to life. The God who never changes is always doing a new thing and that is certainly so at Sannox. Please use the prayer beneath to align yourselves with all the other friends of Sannox who are praying at this time:
“Today I choose to stand in this place you have called me to,
And I declare that You are a Mighty God, the Creator of Heaven and Earth.
Your Kingdom shall endure and will never be shaken.
Open the windows of Heaven and pour out Your promised blessings in this generation.
Revive us, restore us and heal our land.
Thank you for going before us to open the way and remove all obstacles.
Increase our Faith, stir up Hope and keep us grounded and walking in Love.
Thank you that You are creating a dwelling place for God and man here; in Sannox, on Arran, for the nations.
Amen”
Last month we focused on the exciting developments in bricks and mortar and how the Lord had led us to step out in faith with the building contact for the refurbishment of the church – that faith venture is ongoing!
This month we wanted to focus more on the Living Stones that make up SCC.
Please pray for the staff at the centre. SCC currently has three staff. Michelle, who does an amazing job at housekeeping and is bringing a real spirit of excellence to bear on how Dundarroch looks when our guests arrive, Heidi, who serves us in all the areas of administration – without her things grind very slowly! She is the oil that lubricates the Sannox machine and the latest addition to the staff George Hazel, who started last year as Executive Director. George spends much of his time raising the profile of SCC across the nation and manages the various volunteer teams that make SCC work. However, having to fund three salaries presents practical challenges for us!
Our most basic prayer need is that we do not have the money to keep on paying these people and are in need of an urgent increase in sustained monthly giving. Please ask the Lord to speak to people to provide for this need. Please stand with us in praying for a minimum increase of £1200 per month in the committed giving we receive (details of how to give are at the foot of this email).
Another set of Living Stones are our Hosts and we want to honour them. SCC flourishes on people volunteering. Please pray for all those who have volunteered to be Hosts at the centre. Pray for past hosts to be able to return. We also need to see a flow of new recruits to this vital ministry of blessing our visitors and hosting the presence of God at SCC – pray that people will hear a call to this sacrificial office. Ask the Lord to give us more workers in this field.
We want to provide training for past, present and new hosts and so we have arranged a Hosting Training Day on the mainland at Lighthouse Church, Ailsa Rd, Troon on the 16th March 2019, from 10:30 to 5:30 pm. Contact Heidi for information about this day. (admin@sannox.org). Please come to this event and encourage others to attend. We will follow this with a hosting session at SCC soon after.
Finally, please pray for the safety and wellbeing of all the contractors staff on site. Ask the Lord to protect and keep, so that there would be no accidents. But also keep asking God for these people to have an encounter with God as they work in the “House”.

Please note that the Prayer Gathering in Edinburgh will take place in the new home of George and Fiona Hazel on the 4 February 2019 starting at 8 pm prompt.
