Prayer News – September 2023

‘Unless the Lord builds the house,
those who build it labour in vain.
Unless the Lord watches over the city,
the watchman stays awake in vain.’
– Psalm 127:1

It was Floyd McClung – author of works like ‘The Father Heart of God’ – who said in his book, ‘Follow’, ‘Church is not a templelike building to attend on Sundays, but a community of revolutionary people who make Jesus the Lord of their whole lives and live to accomplish his mission.  If Jesus is the Lord of every day and every part of life, and the church is the people who live for his mission, then church happens every day, everywhere!  Church is not limited to a holy-day meeting, led by a holy man; it is a mission force of radical people invading every vocation and every nation of the world.’What does it look for you to be God’s mission force of radical people invading every vocation and every nation for the world?  It simply means viewing where you are as the place God has placed you to accomplish what he has for you to accomplish.  Sometimes that will be a joy; sometimes it will include hardship.  What we must keep at the forefront of our minds is the call to be God’s people and make Jesus Lord over all…beginning with us. This past month, Sannox Christian Centre has had the joy of making Christ known in the world of art and creativity here on Arran – welcoming many to participate in the creative process as a signpost to God, the ultimate creator.  It’s not so much that we build for him…for that would be vain labouring!  No, we seek to take his lead and display his glory at every turn.  As we seek to fill our own corner with the glory of God, we pray for you as you do the same where you are.We are delighted to share this link from Arran Open Studios about the weekend – you’ll see Sannox got a very good mention!  We hope this gives a little taste of what took place.  Glory to God! The Sannox Prayer

“Today I choose to stand in this place you have called me to,
And I declare that You are a Mighty God, the Creator of Heaven and Earth.
Your Kingdom shall endure and will never be shaken.
Open the windows of Heaven and pour out Your promised blessings in this generation.
Revive us, restore us and heal our land.
Thank you for going before us to open the way and remove all obstacles.
Increase our Faith, stir up Hope and keep us grounded and walking in Love.
Thank you that You are creating a dwelling place for God and man here
– in Sannox, on Arran, for the nations.
Amen”

We bless you in the name of Jesus, to receive all that the Father has for you, and we thank you for your continuing support of His work at Sannox.  Be blessed and protected in all you do for the Kingdom, in the mighty and beautiful name of Jesus.
