May 2021 – Prayer News

Sannox Prayer News May 2021

“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise, give thanks to him and praise his name.  For the Lord is good and his love endures forever, his faithfulness continues through all generations.”  [Psalm 100:4-5]

Being involved in a project like Sannox Christian Centre with the need to raise large amounts of finance to carry out an ambitious building project could be a daunting prospect, if it were not for the fact, the truth, that this is the Lord’s project, not the ‘good idea’ of a few folk.

When the Lord directs, He is faithful and provides, as He has proved over and over again since the Sannox vision was birthed.  There is a growing awareness in parts of the Church in Scotland that in these days God is working on the ‘restoration of His name’ in this nation.  Sannox Christian Centre is part of His plans to achieve that aim.

Psalm 92 tells us ‘It is good to praise the Lord…’  So we give thanks and praise for all that He has done and is doing, as we follow His direction, in His timing, trusting Him to meet every need.

Please do join us again at our next monthly prayer gathering on 3 May (see below).

Lord, we give you thanks for….

  • the latest Covid-related business support grant of £9,000, and for the help of the local Arran Councillor in processing this for us;
  • the latest grant of £5,000 towards the manse renovations;
  • several new donations from individuals, both ‘one-off’ and regular, and increased giving by existing supporters;
  • the bookings for Dundarroch received to date;
  • the volunteers who will help to finish off the work around the Church in May;
  • the ongoing building of local relationships on Arran;
  • answered prayer for Maggie Lane, Director, whose healing is progressing.

Please pray for….

  • a new home for Jim and Angie Farrell, ideally close to Sannox with at least 3 or 4 bedrooms, so that they are able to continue fostering children, for which there is a local need;
  • the events programme, that we will be able to launch it in June;
  • the safe re-opening of Dundarroch for resident guests from 1 June, and for the remaining dates available to be booked up (see below);
  • the completion in May of the paths around the church for wheelchair and emergency access, the fitting of the new interior doors in the church and other final touches, and the installation of fibre cabling to enable livestreaming of worship and events;
  • the continued increase in regular giving, to establish a firm financial foundation to meet monthly running costs;
  • the rest of the £250,000 needed to renovate the former Manse.

The Sannox Prayer

“Today I choose to stand in this place you have called me to,
And I declare that You are a Mighty God, the Creator of Heaven and Earth.
Your Kingdom shall endure and will never be shaken.
Open the windows of Heaven and pour out Your promised blessings in this generation.
Revive us, restore us and heal our land.
Thank you for going before us to open the way and remove all obstacles.
Increase our Faith, stir up Hope and keep us grounded and walking in Love.
Thank you that You are creating a dwelling place for God and man here – in Sannox, on Arran, for the nations.
Amen”

We bless you in the name of Jesus, to receive all that the Father has for you, and we thank you for your continuing support of His work at SCC.  Be blessed and protected in all you do for the Kingdom, in the mighty and beautiful name of Jesus.
