Exhibition tracing the history of Sannox Church launched at Sannox Centre
On Saturday afternoon 12 February we are launching an exhibition tracing the history of the recently renovated Sannox Church.
The first in the Project 200 series of events to be held during 2022, celebrating 200 years of the Church and 10 years of Sannox Christian Centre, there will be an opportunity to see the newly refurbished church including new chairs, view the exhibition, look round the newly painted Dundarroch Cottage with its four ensuite bedrooms and hear more about the Project 200 plans.
During the afternoon we will also hold our AGM for the year 2020/21, followed by a Thanksgiving Service using for the first time part of the liturgy (a set of Celtic prayers and readings) developed especially for use by Sannox. The final part of the afternoon will be a time of worship in song. There will be plenty of time for chat and questions over a cup of tea or coffee before and after the afternoon’s programme.
We are aware of many people over the years who have contributed to the Church’s history and we wish to hear stories of who they were and what they did. If you have any information, stories or could provide a ‘pen portrait’ of people who are part of the Sannox story over the last 200 years, contact us at the Centre or by email.
Doors will open at 1.00pm and all are welcome for all or part of this time celebrating the wonderful history and heritage of Sannox Church. If you plan to be there, please register in advance to help comply with Covid ‘test & protect’ guidance by emailing admin@sannox.org
