Summary Prayer Points
|
More Details on Prayer Points |
1. Prayer for our friends We appreciate all of our Friends of Sannox who support us in so many ways. We are praying for each of you by name through this difficult time. Please contact us if you would like us to pray for specific things by contacting Heidi, our administrator, at admin@sannox.org. These will be kept confidential. |
2. New Governance Arrangements Pray for the Directors as they discuss and develop their areas of responsibilities with our Advisors, staff and volunteers. |
3. November Zoom Prayer Gathering We held our eighth Zoom virtual prayer gathering on the 2nd November which, as usual, was great. It is so good to see friends from so many areas and to share and pray together. Many people have said how valuable and inspiring these gathering are, especially the breakout small groups and the sharing of what God has been revealing afterwards. Our next Sannox Zoom Prayer Gathering is on Monday 7th December 2020 at 8 pm. As we did last month, we will circulate the Zoom link with instructions as a separate email to our Friends of Sannox, so watch out for that. Please join us and learn in more detail about the new season we are entering. George will open the meeting at 7.45 so we can chat and welcome each other. |
4. Restoration of the manse – Funding Update The first grant applications to the Baird Trust, the Garfield Weston Foundation and the All Churches Fund have been submitted and the application to the Jerusalem Trust is being finalised. Ruth and Geraldine are now working on applications to the 26 smaller funders. Unfortunately, the Baird Trust have rejected our application but the All Churches Fund are showing enthusiasm. Please continue to pray for the £265,000 to be released by God to complete the restoration of the Manse. |
5. Events – One day retreat on Saturday 28 November 2020 Give thanks for a successful event. We had just under 50 from the length and breadth of the UK attending the day retreat on a Celtic Advent led by Roy Searle. It was a wonderful time with many being blessed. We had some technical problems at the start, but these were resolved as the day progressed. This was our first venture into the world of digital events and we will learn as we go. We certainly feel that this will enable us to reach out to the nations from Sannox for worship, prayer and teaching. Pray for the Directors as we discuss and plan the programme for 2021. |
6. Directors Meeting – 12 December 2020 at 10 am Please pray for the Directors as we meet on the 12 December by Zoom. |
7. Worship at Sannox We know that Sannox is primarily a place of worship and prayer and so a number of our worship leaders met on Zoom on Monday 30 November to share their vision of how we can develop worship at Sannox. The church is ready to be used and we are now planning the fibre broadband connections to enable the streaming of worship, prayer and teaching from the church. We are also planning the audio/visual system. Thanks to out volunteer technical team for making this happen! Give thanks that provision has been made for all of this. We bless you, in the name of Jesus, to receive all that the Father has for you and thank you for your continuing support of His work at SCC. Be blessed and protected in all you do for the Kingdom, in the mighty and beautiful name of Jesus. The Directors of Sannox Christian Centre |
